Le MARS CHAMBER OF COMMERCE-MAIN STREET FUNDRAISER

We want to thank all who attended our Main Street productions on Thursday, May 7th. We have heard many favorable comments and are glad to continue our involvement in these community events.
Special thanks to Audrey Scholten and Danna Schuster for coordinating the event and assembling a stellar group of actors! For those of you who would like to test the waters of acting on stage or are interested in any role at the Postal Playhouse, this type of event is an excellent opportunity for you to get your feet wet. It is not a 6 week commitment nor a lot of performances so feel free to contact anyone at the Postal Playhouse to get your name on the list as we find ourselves looking for new faces when these opportunities present themselves to our organization

Clue-The Musical

Clue The Musical
Remember?

Wrench, candlestick, pipe, knife, revolver, rope. Mr. Boddy, Mrs. Peacock, Professor Plum, Miss Scarlet, Colonel Mustard, Mrs. White, Mr. Green, the Detective. Kitchen, Billiard room, Ballroom, Lounge, Study, Conservatory.

Everyone, at some time in their lives, has played the game of Clue. Now, the internationally popular game is a fun filled musical which brings the world’s best known suspects to life and invites the audience to help solve the mystery: who killed Mr. Boddy, in what room and with what weapon. The audience receives forms to help them deduce the solution from clues given throughout the fun filled evening. Three audience members choose from cards representing the potential murderers, weapons and rooms; there are 216 possible solutions! Only one hard nosed female detective is qualified to unravel the merry mayhem. Comic antics, witty lyrics and a beguiling score carry the investigation from room to room. Even after the culprit confesses, a surprise twist delights the audience.

The book is by Peter de Pietro, music by Galen Blum, Wayne Barker, and Vinnie Martucci, with lyrics by Tom Chiodo.

Tim Pick is directing the musical, aided by Marlene Fitzpatrick as co-director. Appearing in the cast are Ryan Becker, Margaret Britton, Cassie DeLarm, Ellie Hemmingson, Wayne Marty, Donna Muilenburg, Mary Puetz, Ben Strub, Josh Vaske and Victoria Vaske.

Production dates are July 17-19, 23-26. On Sunday, July 19, there will be a matinee and an evening performance. All evening performances begin at 7:30 p.m. and matinee performances begin at 2:00 p.m. Members may begin making reservations on Monday, July 6, by calling the Postal Playhouse (712-546-5788) between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on Monday through Friday. President Postmarks

Dear Patrons,
Many thanks to Bonnie Dull, Nancy Augustine and cast for a great show in The O’Conner Girls. The performances continued the high standard of live, quality entertainment we provide to our patrons year after year. Continuing to see new faces on our stage are also a welcomed treat! Community theater is alive and well in the city of Le Mars.

Our renovation and remodeling of the Postal Playhouse continues with focus these past months on the east end of the building for our new bathrooms. Please check out our progress when you come to a show this summer. We are grateful for the many vendors and professionals who have helped us in the various stages of our renovation project.

A lot of what acting is paying attention.

Robert Redford
See you at the Postal Playhouse!
